ALGORITHM & RISK CONTROLS

The complete MomentumSwitch Solana trading algorithm

MomentumSwitch treats the full trading-decision stack as one algorithm. Market observations flow through momentum scoring and quality gates before version-specific entry and exit logic is allowed to allocate portfolio capital.

Current backtested default controls

Entry score ≥72 · exit score 52 · trailing protection 8% · maximum position 8% · up to 10 positions · total allocation up to 80% · minimum liquidity $100,000 · buy pressure ≥55% · 3 confirmation scans · verified tokens only.

Signal quality

Momentum score is not used alone. Liquidity, buy pressure, verification and persistence are part of the automatic decision. This is intended to avoid treating every short price spike as a tradable breakout.

Portfolio controls

Position size, concurrent-position limits and total allocation prevent a single signal or group of signals from automatically consuming the entire portfolio. A USDC reserve remains available under the default allocation model.

Entry and exit research

The production algorithm evolves through frozen-data backtesting. Research revisions are compared against the same market input and cost assumptions before they can be considered for production. MomentumSwitch does not claim that a historical or backtested winner will perform the same way in future markets.

Algorithm versus execution

The algorithm decides what and when to trade. Jupiter routing, Solana transactions, RPC availability and actual fills are execution infrastructure. Separating these concepts makes algorithm research reproducible while execution reliability can be measured independently.
