HOW IT WORKS
How MomentumSwitch automates Solana momentum trading
MomentumSwitch is a server-side Solana momentum trading platform. It repeatedly scans market observations, identifies qualifying momentum, confirms that a signal persists, allocates capital under portfolio limits and independently monitors every open position for exit conditions.
The decision flow
1. Scan: Solana market data is evaluated for price acceleration and activity.
2. Filter: Momentum score, liquidity, buy pressure and token verification are checked.
3. Confirm: qualifying signals must persist through confirmation scans, helping reject momentary spikes.
4. Allocate: position sizing, maximum concurrent positions and total allocation limits control portfolio exposure.
5. Monitor and exit: every position is monitored independently using the active algorithm's exit and trailing-risk logic.
Paper and Live USDC
Paper mode uses a simulated $500 USDC account. Live USDC applies the same trading-decision logic to real funds, while blockchain routing, transaction construction and fills are execution infrastructure rather than signal generation.
Why confirmation matters
Solana markets can move quickly. A token can briefly meet an entry threshold and immediately lose momentum. Multiple observations can reduce these false positives, although confirmation can also delay entry. MomentumSwitch backtesting measures this trade-off rather than assuming more confirmation is always better.
Risk
Automated trading can lose money. Momentum filters, verification, sizing limits and trailing logic reduce specific risks but cannot eliminate market, liquidity, execution or smart-contract risk. Backtested results do not guarantee future performance.
